Bone Grafting Treatment in Hamlin, NY

Dental implants are an excellent solution for tooth replacement; however, they require enough healthy bone structure for successful support. Patients struggling with gum disease or trauma may lack enough bone for an implant to thrive.

The good news is that a procedure called bone grafting rebuilds your jawbone so it can support a future tooth implant and ensure its success. Dr. Garcia has the extensive skills, knowledge, and training to offer bone grafting procedures here at our Hamlin dental office so patients don't have to seek a specialist for their care.

We make comprehensive implant dentistry easy and comfortable for you, and you'll get to work with the dental team you already know and trust.

Bone Grafting in Hamlin for Implant Stability

Dr. Garcia uses leading-edge technology like 3-D imaging to plan your implant procedure from start to finish. If he determines that you lack sufficient bone support for your implant, he'll recommend a bone grafting procedure prior to implant placement.

During a bone grafting procedure, Dr. Garcia will use bone from your body or another donor and apply it to your jawbone. Over time the new bone integrates with your jawbone and becomes one stable entity that can support a tooth implant.

For some patients, we may place their dental implant at the same time to begin the integration process, and sometimes we need to wait a few months for the new bone material to heal and integrate before placing the implant.

The good news is that dental implants are a viable tooth replacement option for many people. As long as your oral health is good and you have sufficient jawbone density, we can place titanium implants to replace your tooth’s root and add a dental crown, bridge, or denture to restore your smile.

Unfortunately, not everyone has enough jawbone density to ...
