Dental Technology

Leading-edge technology helps us to provide comfortable and efficient treatment procedures for our patients. Much of our equipment streamlines the treatment process and helps our patients achieve healthy and beautiful smiles in a stress-free manner.

Read on to learn more about some of the modern technology and equipment you'll find at Hamlin Dental.

3-D Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)

3-D Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)

Our 3-D Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) provides 3-D imaging that precisely details your teeth, jawbone, and sinuses. It's helpful for planning complex treatment procedures like oral surgery, tooth extraction, bone grafting procedures, and dental implant placement.

Using the CBCT allows Dr. Garcia to plan surgical procedures ahead of time, which ensures the best outcomes on the day of surgery. It also helps to streamline procedures and make them more efficient as the outcomes are more predictable.

Digital X-Rays and Sensors

Digital X-Rays and Sensors

Digital x-rays are readily available images we take of your teeth to see what's happening internally. Dr. Garcia can often use x-rays to spot early signs of problems like tooth decay or gum disease. When we detect these problems as early as possible, we can be proactive about treating them before they become more problematic and costly, which helps you maintain your dental health and beautiful smile.

A panoramic x-ray provides a complete view of your teeth and jawbone in one image. Dr. Garcia may use this type of x-ray to examine wisdom teeth or plan orthodontic treatment with SureSmile®.

Laser Dentistry

Laser Dentistry

The dental laser helps us to streamline several procedures, such as periodontal treatment, gum contouring, and cold sore treatment. The laser uses precision-focused light and heat to eliminate diseased or unwanted tissues without harming healthy tissue. There's no need for cutting or sutures, and since the laser sterilizes the treated area, it also accelerates your healing process.

CEREC machine

CEREC Same-Day Restorations

CEREC, or chair-side economical restoration of esthetic ceramic, is modern technology that allows Dr. Garcia to design, fabricate, and place porcelain restorations, like a dental crown, in one appointment, rather than the patient waiting two to three weeks for a dental lab to make their restoration.

CEREC also eliminates the need for messy and uncomfortable impressions of your tooth because it scans a 3-D image. Dr. Garcia uses the 3-D image to design your crown and then sends his specifications to the milling machine, which makes your restoration. There's also no need to wear a temporary crown since we'll place and adjust your restoration during the same appointment.

Digital Impressions

Digital Impressions

Gone are the days of patients having to endure messy and uncomfortable impressions. With digital impressions, we can simply scan a 3-D image of your teeth we can use to create same-day restorations, clear orthodontic aligners, and more.

Digital impressions provide a more detailed and accurate image for us to work with and a more pleasant experience for our patients.

Rotary Endodontics

Rotary Endodontics

Rotary endodontic tools deliver efficient and comfortable root canal treatment. Made from nickel-titanium, flexible, rotary hand tools make it easier to reach the inner canals of a tooth. Since they're electric, the tools make root canal treatment more efficient.

Root canals provide relief from the pain and discomfort caused by a tooth infection. The treatment also helps to preserve your natural tooth.
