How CEREC Works at Hamlin Dental
Dr. Garcia scans your tooth, creating a 3-D image that he uses to design your new restoration. He sends that image and his specifications to a milling machine located in our Hamlin dental office. The machine uses high-quality porcelain to mill a new tooth for your smile.
Dr. Garcia is able to permanently place the crown as soon as it's milled and make any needed adjustments so we ensure that your bite functions correctly. This process takes about 60 to 90 minutes, and then you're off to enjoy your new tooth!
